Qualys Integration

The Qualys integration provides InsightCloudSec with the ability to communicate with assets in your Qualys accounts. The goal of this integration is to leverage InsightCloudSec capabilities to give organizations visibility into where the Qualys Cloud Agent is deployed across a customer's cloud footprint.

Prerequisites & Requirements

Before getting started with this integration ensure you have the following:

  • Domain or Org Admin permissions within InsightCloudSec

  • Familiarity and appropriate permissions for Qualys

  • Required Qualys configuration details to complete the integration:

    • Qualys Server URL
    • Qualys Username
    • Qualys Password

InsightCloudSec Setup

These steps assume that you have a functional Qualys implementation to integrate with InsightCloudSec. Refer to the Qualys documentation for specific details on configuration of any Qualys components.

To integrate your existing Qualys setup refer to the following steps:

  1. Within InsightCloudSec navigate to Administration > Integrations.
  2. Locate the Qualys card on the Integrations landing page and select Edit.
  3. Complete the integration form with the applicable details as follows:
    • Qualys Server URL
    • Qualys Username
    • Qualys Password
  4. Click Save to complete the integration.

Functional Details

Integration Configuration Specifics

After the Integration is set up InsightCloudSec will poll Qualys daily at 2 a.m. UTC. This time was selected intentionally to avoid triggering API rate limiting during peak hours. At present this is not customizable but a manual rescan can be triggered - contact us through the Customer Support Portal for details.

Supported Filters

Qualys integration includes the following filters (the integration must be complete for these filters to work properly):

  • Instance With Qualys Agent Configured
  • Instance Without Qualys Agent Configured
