The ServiceNow integration provides DivvyCloud the ability to send notification messages as ServiceNow incidents, and is compatible with all DivvyCloud resources. As an example, you can send high priority security alerts when noncompliant Security Group rules are provisioned such as SSH open to the world.
Follow the steps below to configure and leverage the integration:
1.) Access ServiceNow Instance
On the homepage of ServiceNow, your instance (if you’ve already provisioned one) shows on the right hand side of the screen. You can also find your instance URL by clicking “Manage” at the top, and select “Instance”. Your username and password is provided for you when you provision the instance. When you first sign into your ServiceNow instance, you’ll be prompted to change your password.
2.) Update DivvyCloud
In your DivvyCloud window, click on “Integrations” on the left side of the screen. Then click “edit” and input your ServiceNow credentials (instance URL, username and password).
Once this is done you can now leverage the DivvyCloud ServiceNow action within your Bot configurations. As you can see from the image below, you can specify the urgency of the incidents and message sent for each action.
3.) Resulting Incidents from Bots
Once you’ve run your bot with the ServiceNow action, go to your ServiceNow Instance window, on the left navigation menu, click on “Incidents”. You can now see all the incidents that were logged with DivvyCloud, in ServiceNow.
